Nashville's Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum

Nashville's Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum is situated in downtown Nashville, merely a few blocks from the taprooms of Broadway and the revered home of C&W music, the Ryman Auditorium.

This contemporary $37 million location was exposed to the public in 2001, and the significant look of this unique museum enlivens the skyline in Nashville's central amusement area.

The Museum has an unbelievably vast aggregation to show C&W music's story, and inside, the crown jewels of the assemblage are exhibited, rendering the story of country music crossing centuries.

You'll find gems of significant pre-recorded music, rare television film, changing displays, live presentations and other public performances, live broadcasts, along with, not to mention dining at SoBro Grill & Catering and shopping at the Museum Store.

Catching the demonstrations of the Hall educates and stimulates country music devotees of all years and experiences, from the "wet behind the ears" country & western buffs to those who've enjoyed country & western for umpteen years.

As you walk through the exhibit halls, you'll see the advancement of C&W music leading off in the farms and honky-tonks of the south, all the way to the Grand Ole Opry and the blockbuster hits of our C&W music stars today.

The Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum is self-led, so you can enjoy it at your own rate - fans usually take 2-3 hours.  The Museum supplies an Audio Tour (70 minutes), narrated by Eddie Stubbs (WSM Radio & Grand Ole Opry broadcaster), as well as portions recounted by Dolly Parton, Vince Gill, and Trisha Yearwood.

The Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum shows "Sing Me Back Home" as a permanent display spanning two complete floors of the museum, an energizing walk through the life of C&W music.

Using groundbreaking recordings, artifacts, photos and video film, and interactive touchscreen panels, Sing Me Back Home steeps guests in the sound and history of C&W music, and the lives and voices of its esteemed champions.

As the "Sing Me Back Home" tour ends, you'll enter the Hall of Fame Rotunda, another permanent display.  This is the hallowed location where Country Music Hall of Fame® members are respected with bronze plaques acknowledging their entry into the Hall of Fame.

A visit to the Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum is an essential piece of any Nashville vacation. You'll find it is both informative and a great diversion. And with the appreciation of the history of Nashville's music you'll gain an improved admiration of Nashville.
